- Alive Aurora is hosting an open house for social workers and community leaders that are interested in learning more about our mission, space, and free resources! We are excited to continue to build strong relationships in order to best serve our youth community. We have partnered up with an incredible guest speaker Sandra Harrison from DVA training and she will be speaking to us on the importance and impact of "Story Telling". The event is on March 11, 2022, from 4-5 pm. No pre-registration is required #JustShowUp
- Senior Meal Distributions have returned! State representatives Hernandez, Kifowit and State Representative Keith Wheeler have teamed up once again on specific Mondays through spring and summer. Adults 60 years of age and older are eligible for 5 frozen meals. You are not eligible if currently enrolled in the Meals On Wheels program. This will be done in a drive-up fashion at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 5th Avenue in Aurora. Shouts out to our great State Representatives for all they do!
- Sunday, March 6th from 11 am to 5 pm the City of Aurora, IL, Government Community Service Department will host a vaccination event called ‘Keeping Aurora Safe’. This will be held at La Sierra Restaurant (2121 E. New York St.), it is free and open to the public. Public health and safety are paramount.
