“Don’t let your mind block you from what’s possible.” Those are words of wisdom from actor, father and Chicago native Mr. Sal Velez Jr. He is currently a star in the Netflix original series Black Summer and he’s got an impressive body of work. Sal was also in The Way Back (2020) alongside Ben Affleck, and is currently in consideration for a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Rekindling Christmas). From Humboldt Park to the big screen, this man has an awesome story. A story so awesome we it’s now officially our longest interview!
