- The 15th Annual Health Fair is taking place on Saturday, June 11th from 9 am to noon. Hosted by the Aurora African American Health Coalition and in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, this great event will take place at the Prisco Center (150 W. Illinois Ave.). This event is free and open to the public: there will be giveaways, speakers, vendors and health screenings at no cost! This will be a great community event for the entire family!
- Our friends of Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry are collecting items for our men for Father’s Day! The collection is going from June 1st to June 30th. Our studio here at Good Morning Aurora is just one of many locations you can visit to drop off toiletry items. You can drop them off at Marie Wilkinson’s located at 834 N. Highland avenue, State Representative Barbara Hernandez’s office at 540 W. Galena, and State Farm offices located at 2003 Montgomery Road, suite 101. Our studio is located at 5 E. Downer Place, Suite T and is open from 7 am to 3 pm for collection. You can drop items in our lobby and we appreciate your contribution very much. - Last but not least, June 3rd will be a fun day of community, sing-alongs and coffee! Artists Levi & Zoe will be performing at Java Plus on Waterford from 6 to 8:30 pm and this event is open to the public. Come out and enjoy a great show in a wonderful community space.
