Music Friday has returned! Good morning ladies and gentlemen, we have a great musical guest in addition to the news today. We have artist Levi Cull live in studio with some music for us. Get ready for a great show! Here is the news: - State Representative Barbara Hernandez has partnered with Meridian Health to host an Aurora Community Health Fair on Saturday, July 9th from 11am to 3pm at the Prisco Community Center. Meridian will offer FREE health screenings and immunizations, important health education, information, and resources, breast cancer and HIV awareness information, activities for everyone like; Zumba, yoga, and food demonstrations, and a healthy food giveaway. - Aurora’s Juneteenth celebration will be taking place this Saturday June 18th from 3:30 to 7:30 pm. This will be held at Martin Luther King Jr. park on the city’s east side at Farnsworth & Grand boulevard/ Free admission and the public is invited! There will be prizes, poetry, live entertainment and a whole lot more. This event is sponsored by the African American Men of Unity, The Aurora African American Heritage Board and the City of Aurora. Come out and have some fun this summer! - Tedeschi Trucks Band, the revered 12-piece collective founded by husband-and-wife duo, guitarist Derek Trucks and singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi, is rolling its annual Wheels of Soul summer amphitheater tour into downtown Aurora’s RiverEdge Park on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Don’t miss the only Chicago area stop this summer for “two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation” (NPR) and their supremely talented all-star band. Add special guest artists Gabe Dixon and Los Lobos, and TTB’s Wheels of Soul tour is just the ticket for a musical experience of profound quality on a summer night along the banks of the beautiful Fox River. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Show at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $59, all general admission, and are on sale now at RiverEdge Park is located at 360 N.
