- Senior Meal Distributions have returned! Representative Barbara Hernandez, Illinois House District 84 and State Representative Keith Wheeler have teamed up once again on specific Mondays through spring and summer. The next dates are Monday, August 8th & Monday, August 22nd. Adults 60 years of age and older are eligible for 5 frozen meals. You are not eligible if currently enrolled in the Meals On Wheels program. This will be done in a drive-up fashion at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 5th Avenue in Aurora. Shouts out to our great State Representatives for all they do!
- Saturday September 10th is the Kid's Expo!, taking place at Phillips Park! This is hosted by Illinois House District 84 and will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. This is a free and fun event open to the public and will be held rain or shine. For more information call 630-585-1308. Bring the family out for a good time, we hope to see you there!
- Friday August 12th there will be a great Back To School Health & Resource Fair at VNA Health Care, 400 N. Highland avenue. Our friends of the Neighbor Project will be there as well. This will take place from 1 to 3 pm, sponsored by Aetna Better Health of Illinois - Medicaid! There will be resources of all kinds, health screenings and much more!
