Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are here with friend of the show Natale Bianchi of Talented Tenth Social Services, Inc. to check in and discuss all the great initiatives her organization has been involved in. We have news to disseminate and food to cook so let's get into it! - There’s a helpful and fun family event coming up for the month of December. Working with great sponsors and community partners, The Neighbor Project & Aurora FEC (financial empowerment center) will provide information and more resources for free at this event. The date is December 11th and the event will be from 1 to 4 pm at 1 E. Benton street (gallery 1904, lower level). Santa will also be on hand for cool holiday photos; health resources will be provided by our friends of VNA Healthcare as well. Please help spread the word and come out to this great event. There will be food, a DJ and many great vendors. The first will be held at New Community Baptist Church from 8:30 to 10:30 am. The second will be held at Main Baptist Church from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Our wonderful community partners and State Representative Stephanie Kifowit have made this possible in our area and we appreciate them! #thankyou - Tuesday the 30th of November there will be an awesome and inspiring presentation by Diane Nilan at Prisco Community Center and sponsored by our friends of Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry. Diane is an author, filmmaker and will detail her recent book titled: Dismazed & Driven - My Look At Family Homelessness In America. This event will take place in room 103 at Prisco Center.
