- State Representative Barbara Hernandez has partnered with Meridian Health to host an Aurora Community Health Fair on Saturday, July 9th from 11am to 3pm at the Prisco Community Center. Meridian will offer FREE health screenings and immunizations, important health education, information, and resources, breast cancer and HIV awareness information, activities for everyone like Zumba, yoga, and food demonstrations, and a healthy food giveaway.
- Tuesday, July 26th will be the Community Forum on the PAD (Pre-Arrest Diversion) initiative. In conjunction with the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) National Support Bureau directors, the aim is to divert low-level offenders from the criminal justice system. This will take place at Aurora Public Library, Illinois, downtown on River street, from 5:30 to 7 pm. This will be a productive and helpful event. - American Legion Post 84 will be presenting their 13th Annual Car Show this year on Sunday July 3rd from 11 am to 3 pm. The lineup begins at 9 am and this will honor local veterans. Taking place on historic Auto Row (LaSalle street) here in Aurora, come enjoy a good time with a fantastic organization. There will be a 50/50 raffle as well.
