- Sunday, August 14th from noon to 5 pm Alderwoman Juany Garza will host a great ice cream social at McCarty Park (350 E. Galena blvd). Face painting, a clown show and of course, a lot of ice cream. Come out for a fantastic community event and shout out to our great 2nd Ward Alderwoman!
- Saturday, August 6th The Neighbor Project will host a Citibank sponsored youth workshop at Everlasting Word Church, 22 N. Highland Ave. This will take place from 10 am to noon and is free and open to any young person with questions about credit and the home-buying process. Are you ready to learn with a great local organization? For more information you can call (630) 906-9400 and ask about the Youth Workshop! Spread the word!
- Friday August 12th there will be a great Back To School Health & Resource Fair at VNA Health Care, 400 N. Highland avenue. Our friends of the Neighbor Project will be there as well. This will take place from 1 to 3 pm, sponsored by Aetna Better Health of Illinois - Medicaid! There will be resources of all kinds, health screenings and much more!
