Here's the news: - Saturday, November 19th there will be a great Healthcare Enrollment event taking place at the Eola Community Center, 555 S. Eola road. This will be an in-person event to learn about Medicaid expansion, now including undocumented residents age 42 and up. There will be individuals to help with the process. Bring documents such as proof of identity, address, income and household size. Thank you to the office of Representative Barbara Hernandez for hosting this event. See the flyer for more details! - A first time home buyer seminar will be held on Saturday, November 12th starting at 10 am. The event is free and open to the public. There will be food and refreshments, as well as a great presentation and resources on homeownership. Guest speakers will be Mario Blanquel & Jose Herrera of Guaranteed Rate. This event will take place at Everlasting Word Church (22 N. Highland). Share the news and attend! - Court Based Rental Assistance is still available for those in a court eviction proceeding due to non-payment. The non-payment is conditioned on financial hardship due to the pandemic. Eligible applicants may qualify for up to $25,000 in emergency rental payments. This program is open to anyone in the state and is not conditioned by county. The deadline for applications is June 2023.
